A/V Technician Department
Audio Visual - 063 Position Summary

Primary responsibilities and duties include the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of: audio equipment and sound systems; analog and digital video equipment; lighting control systems and projection systems; and other duties as assigned.
This is a one-year term position. Required Qualifications

- Two or more years of experience in AV operation and support
- Familiarity with PC and Mac computer operation systems
- Ability to read schematics and floor plans, knowledge of basic electronic concepts, good mechanical skills, and familiarity with basic hand tools
- Familiarity with digital video projectors
- Understanding of modern video formats
- Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work well with others in demanding and stressful situations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and high manual dexterity sufficient for duties above Preferred Qualifications

- Associate Degree or a two-year technical school certificate is strongly preferred
- A specific focus in lighting or audio is preferred for this opening Physical Demands
