Assistant Manager - Marketing
The Assistant Marketing Manager oversees the CeraVe Baby franchise, leads the national marketing and sample forecast, and acts as the brand liaison for ULTA. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth in a fast-paced environment.
The Assistant Manager will report to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing.
Job Responsibilities:
Baby Franchise Lead: execute national marketing plan and lead activations to build strategic segment for brand.
Develop messaging/direct-to-consumer communication leveraging consumer insights and research
Work with sales team and retailers to gain distribution and assortment
Work with the sales team and retailers to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategy in the retail environment
Proactively conduct market research and uncover insights to inform franchise strategy
Track progress on medical recommendation for segment; partner with medical team to implement strategies that will gain share of recommendations
Manage day-to-day operations with excellence and interact effectively with cross-functional departments
Monitor production plans to ensure full support of business, track any risks that could impact business
Maintain budget by tracking expenses, alert manager of trends and risks
National Forecast Lead: Lead national sell-out with marketing point of view for demand planning needs.
Continuously analyze brand sell-out and adjust forecast accordingly
Provide monthly update on sell-out performance with insights on key drivers
Align with sales and marketing teams on performance and future programs that could impact forecast
Sample Forecast Lead: manage sample forecast and budget with marketing point of view on demand planning needs.
Plan annual sample forecast across medical, trade, digital, and retail
Track inventory and production plans to monitor sample replenishment, and escalate/reduce OOS risk
Track actual shipped quantities vs. forecast and come up with recommended adjustments
ULTA brand liaison: lead marketing efforts for ULTA and act as the liaison between brand and ULTA national account director
Ensure customer strategy and programs align with national brand objectives and product focuses
Work closely with ULTA national account director to drive strategic programs and initiatives to grow business and meet budget
Lead creative execution of customer marketing initiatives including print, digital, and POS materials
Represent brand at meetings with ULTA
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of experience
Marketing related experience is highly desired, but not required
Competencies/Skills:

Systems Proficiency (i.e. Nielsen, Excel, PowerPoint, Word & DPM)
Strong data analysis skills- i.e. competitive, US market, sales (experience with syndicated data a plus)
