With over 120 campuses across the United States, Job Corps provides free career training and education. Students get the experience they need to begin a career or apprenticeship, or advance to higher education. Our vocational trades include Licensed Drone Pilot, Overhead Line Electrical, SMART Meter, Auto Body and Tech, Cement Mason, Tile Setting and Medical Trades. Recreational and leisure time activities support our mission by giving our students a better level of confidence, emotional and mental stability, optimism, and independence. Balancing academic/vocational training with fun activities helps our students attain a proper balance in their lives. Our facility offers an impressive weight room, arts and crafts room, basketball/volleyball courts (outside and inside) as well as allowing for off center recreation activities such as hiking, paint-ball, and photography. The sky is the limit as to what special talent you may offer and share with our students! You will work with each student to challenge, motivate, support and encourage them to do more than they may have thought possible.
What you’ll do • Organize and supervise on and off-center recreation activities for students • Assist in developing and implementing diverse programs to include arts and crafts, intramurals, cultural events, and other recreational and enrichment programs. • Guide students to make informed life concerning fitness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles. • Coordinate student field trips. • Maintain recreation facilities, equipment, and materials. • Provide transportation of students to and from sponsored events.

Education and Experience Requirements • High School Diploma or GED • Residential experience in a group home/college dormitory setting preferred. • Excellent communication/listening skills • Proficient in computer software. • Valid New York State Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. • Must possess or obtain a CDL Class B Driver’s License with passenger endorsement within three months of hire - training provided. • Have or acquire a Water Safety certification.
