Job Description

 

This employee will support the HR Department and business leaders by assisting in a variety of duties including recruiting, benefits, policy administration, and employee relations.

The Role -

Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to work out of its state-of-the-art facility in Sidney, NY.

The key responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist include, but are not limited to:

Creating, running and analyzing reports related to headcount, compensation, benefits, workforce demographics, etc.

Recruitment (writing and posting ads, sourcing and qualifying candidates, attending job fairs, interviewing candidates, tracking candidate data and making offers to selected candidates)

Onboarding new hires to include conducting orientation and overseeing training objectives as needed

Participation in company's intern program including attending intern fairs, interviewing candidates and fostering relationships with interns and partners at key schools

Involvement in employee development, employee programs and performance management efforts

Employee relations management including conducting workplace investigations

Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Assisting in developing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for management and employees

Assisting in the annual creation of the Affirmative Action Plan and works to further company goals set out in that plan

The Person -

The key skills and qualities of a Human Resources Generalist at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:

A bachelor's degree and experience as an HR Generalist is required. Equivalent education/experience will be considered.

Must be proficient in MS Office applications. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.

Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with candidates, employees at all levels in the organization and business partners.

Confidentiality a must.

The ability to travel as required, approximately 10%.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
