Exotic Derivatives Trader (New York, NY): Serve as a team lead responsible for driving the market making and risk hedging strategy for multinational bank’s Trading Flow Structured EQ unit, seeking to maximize franchise and leverage in product distribution to institutional clients (incl. Private Banks, Broker Dealers, and Asset Managers) and maintain portfolio results within established risk limits as well as focusing on promoting excellence in service offered to internal/ external clients. Duties include:
· Supervise small team of traders giving counterparty service in response to institutional clients’ requests submitted by bank’s Sales team and collaborate in offering tailor-made exotic derivatives adapted to such clients’ needs.
· Generate recurrent income to meet annual revenue targets.
· Lead coordination of pricing and product ideas.
· Drive interaction with Risk unit for negotiating approvals.
· Track unit activity, monitoring main activity indicators and follow up on the operations’ pipeline and the budget compliance.
· Play a leading role in promoting the bank's positioning as a key player in the market in the region.
· Lead the coordination with bank’s other Equity Trading desks in updating trading handbook, framework and pricing rules documentation.
· Ensure that the unit’s activity complies with internal & external policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Position is based at employer’s office in New York City.
Salary range: $271,163 to $451,938/year.
Requires: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance or Financial Markets plus 5 years of experience in equity derivatives trading (any title), or in the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance or Financial Markets and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in equity derivatives trading (any title).
Experience in either case must include:
· 5 years’ experience pricing and modeling equity derivatives trading products.
· 5 years’ experience risk hedging equity derivatives trading products.
· 5 years’ experience in quantitative data analysis of volatility markets to improve and automate pricing of client deals.
· 5 years’ experience in managing an options book of at least $1 billion notional, including delta, gamma and theta hedging, vega and vanna hedging and correlation hedging.
· 5 years’ experience offering derivatives tailored to the needs of institutional clients (Private Banks, Broker Dealers, and Asset Managers) and the different types of products/features these different categories require.
· 4 years’ experience managing a team.
